Yes Roland, we hear your praying... :-)

I would suggest contacting your CE and / or Tivoli marketing and talking with
them about a Tivoli suite solution. At a minimum and in addition to ADSM or TSM
(whichever version you're running with), it would require Framework, Software
Installation Service and the TEC (Tivoli Enterprise Console). Keep in mind I
write code, and I'm not in marketing, so I'm probably missing a few other key
packages for the suite... my apologies in advance. :-)

The TEC, I think, would be the key product you're looking for to monitor ADSM
and the other components you're using. There might be a problem (currently)
with getting the TDP / Exchange to communicate with the TEC, but there should
not be a problem with ADSM being monitored by the TEC. As of ADSM 3.1.x (or
so), there was built in integration with ADSM and the TEC. Most likely, you'll
have to configure the event receiver within TSM to send the TDP/Exchange
messages to both the activity log and TEC. In other words, TDP/Exchange sends
its messages to ADSM's event receiver. The event receiver parses whatever
messages it receives and determines what to do from there (eg. log into the
activity log and signal the TEC).

You will most likely have to edit the TEC rules database and the TSM (or ADSM)
event receiver to get the custom solution you're looking for, but that's to be
expected for any custom solution.

Obviously, I don't know all of your site's requirements so I'm probably missing
a few important points. That's why I suggest contacting your marketing rep and
/ or CE and seeing what sort of a solution Tivoli can offer you in the
enterprise management arena.
