Phil - This is a very longstanding need in ADSM. Backing up zero-length
files results in obliterating valuable backups which are pushed
out of the retention range, or at least adds clutter to the ADSM
database. This is a particular need for those backing up mail servers,
where a null file remains after a user has read all the mail in a
mail spool file.
ADSM has thus far limited itself to excluding only by name pattern.
Customers need additional qualification tests such as file size, type,
owner, group, permissions, etc. Tivoli Marketing: This relatively
easy enhancement would add great value compared to your competitors.
