A couple of suggestion.

1. Force you NIC card on all clients and ADSM server to 100Mb. This
will increase your performance.
2. Keep compression off on Novell clients you will get a faster
through put.
3. Go and get the performance tuning guide at the IBM/ADSM site.

       Hi, ADSMers

I have a lot of problems to backup 3 Novell 4.11 (ADSM
Client Version 3.1.0.7; server Compaq Proliant 3000,
       Volume:150 Go each).
       ADSM server NT4SP4: 3.1.2.20 (Compaq Proliant 3000,
       2CPU 450Mhz, 640Mo).
       Ethernet 100BaseT (switch).
       STGpool disk : 2 GO
       Library: STK9730 (2 DLT7000)

During the first incremental backup, the performance
is correct (not very good) for 8 hours (Volume:31 Go
       => 1,1 Mo/s, 15 Migration process, 2 each hour), then
the transfert rate crumbles and currently, we have a
process of migration each 3 or 4 hours (the size of
the files are the same as previously).
The network is OK and no relevant informations in the
actlog ADSM.(Just 3 Novell Clients defined)

I'm looking for an explication and of course a
       solution.
       Thanks

       Christophe
