Hi there !!

If you installed adsm.devices.rte..., try SMITTY DEVICES, then ADSM
DEVICES and so on
If you exactly know where are your devices, you can directly type :

/* mkdev -c library  -t 'ADSM-SCSI-LB' -s 'scsi' -p 'vscsi5' -w '6,0' */
/* mkdev -c adsmtape  -t 'ADSM-SCSI-MT' -s 'scsi' -p 'vscsi3' -w '0,0' */
/* mkdev -c adsmtape  -t 'ADSM-SCSI-MT' -s 'scsi' -p 'vscsi3' -w '1,0' */
/* mkdev -c adsmtape  -t 'ADSM-SCSI-MT' -s 'scsi' -p 'vscsi5' -w '2,0' */

Hope this helps

Good day all, just wondering how AIX or ADSM creates the /dev/mtXX
devices from
the /dev/rmtXX devices. Is that an ADSM task? or an AIX task. The reason
I ask
is I just added two new tape drives to my STK9730 robot and the other two
drives
that were there before have /dev/mt1 and /dev/mt2 entries . Any help
would be
appreciated. Thanks!

-Anthony
