Ruud,
when an NT server uses Backup Exec with the ADSM API option, this is usually
for an online backup of databases and not for the filesystem.
The ADSM Option simulates an autoloader to Backup Exec. This loader has
several slots and a special "file" where Backup Exec keeps the Database.
Obviously the storage space for this "database" has to be disk resident
while the contents of the slots may migrated to tapes. For this reason it is
necessary to define a few management classes and also one more storage pool
to get the ADSM Option run efficiently. As far as I know there's not really
a difference between what you have to do on an OS390 or on any other ADSM
server platform.

Best regards,
Michael
