same problem for our NDS backup. IBM told us about an open apar, which
will fix the problem. Apar text is following.

ERROR DESCRIPTION:
Reference IC23590, when backing up the NDS on Netware 5.0 a novell
api function call now returns different information than with
previous versions of Netware. If the database has been partition
ed, the api function call NWSMTSScanNextDataSet used to return
only objects within current partition, now it returns all object
starting at the scan source throughout the tree.  Customers see
ans1228e and ans1301e error messages, and the objects they are
trying to backup are dropping the OU part of the context.
