Scott,
We do restore volumes from time to time. The only way to do them is to use
the offsite copy. We run the restore volume command with the preview=yes
parameter. This will list the offsite tapes required for the restore. Then
we call back the tapes, check them in and dot the restore. Works very well
and by itself is enough reason to have DRM installed.
