All:

Hate to sound simplistic, but backing it up to four separate drives is
simple providing you create four separate backup jobs, designating a
portion of the Oracle database, ie. devide the db into four parts. Run
the jobs at the same time to each of the four devices.

Not real sophisticated, but some times the hardest problems need the
most direct and simple approach.
