Hi Louise,

after moving the data of the faulty tape just check it out and have a look
at the tape itself inside the cartridge. It has happened that some tapes
have had 'waves', those you can give back to guarantee.

Concerning the excessive cleaning requests, what's your cleaning frequency
setting and what's your microcode level.
