Hi ADSM Specialists !

I would like to start to use Tape Data Compression.

I have 3590 tape.
I defined a device class for the tape with the following parameters:
DEVType=3590,
FORMAT=3590.
I did not defined ESTCAPacity (estimated capacity) parameter, leave it
unattended (the default is 10Gb).
I defined a Primary Sequential Access Storage Pools with device the class
and define volumes
for the pool.

I would like to start to use Tape Data Compression.
What exactly have I to do?
Have I change the device class?
Must the parameter FORMAT be "3590" or it may be "DRIVE"?
Have I change the volumes' parameters?
If I have to change estimated capacity parameter of the device type - what
value have it define?

Have the compression method disadvantages? Like this : ANR8263W?

If anybody has an experience with Tape Data Compression can help me, please
contact with me.

Thanks in advance,
