We run a daily backup and then:

         BACKUP STGPOOL ONLINE OFFLINE

If thats successful we then CHECKOUT the volume for offsite:

CHECKOUT LIBVOLUME AUTOLIB 04B0B0 remove=b
CHECKOUT LIBVOLUME AUTOLIB 04B0B0 remove=b
07/02/99 01:23:35 ANR0984I Process 21 for CHECKOUT LIBVOLUME started in

AUTOLIB.
07/02/99 01:24:01 ANR8829I Remove volume 04B0B0 from slot 39 of
library
                       AUTOLIB at your convenience.

<----

The reason for the ANR8827E is because we did not remove the tape from the
previous day from the Entry/Exit port on the 3570.

Does anyone know the best way to remove 04B0B0 physically from the library now
that ADSM considers it not part of library volumes?

I guess I can use the tapeutil command and tell it to move media from SLOT 39
(where 04B0B0 is) to SLOT 31 (export slot) but I am not sure if this is the
right way to correct the problem.

thanks
