Hello Jim,

The problem you are seeing is documented in APAR
IC24196. A fixtest is in the works to address both
this problem, as well as the problems with schedule
and error log pruning (IC24236, IC24185). I hope to
have the fixtest available by the end of next week,
if not sooner.

In the mean time, here is a circumvention you can try:

1) Use DSMCUTIL with the /VALIDATE:NO option to create
   the schedule.

2) Run DSMC QUERY SESSION. This should cause you to be
prompted to enter the password. Once you enter the
password, it will be properly encrypted in the
   registry.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

Best regards,

Andy

"The only dumb question is the one that goes unasked."

Has anybody gotten ptf 3.1.0.7 to work on Microsoft Cluster? When I create
a DSM.OPT file with 'CLUSTERNODE YES' and execute from DSM as the default
opt file it works ok. But when I try to set it up as a Win NT service I
receive error messages.

06/25/1999 11:20:08 ReadPswdFromRegistry(): RegOpenPathEx(): Win32 RC=2 .
06/25/1999 11:20:08 sessOpen: Error 137 from signon authentication.

When I checked the registry...
HKLM\Software\IBM\ADSM\CurrentVersion\BackupClient\Nodes

There is no node entry, therefore no Password Key\Value...

When I checked the registry...
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\ADSM Scheduler LC160E\Parameters

There is no ClusterNode Key/Value

When I recreate the node and manually and add the ClusterNode to the
Registry I receive the following errors..

I can manually run the DSMCUTIL command on see that ClusterNode is set to
ON.

So any help or advice would be appreciated!!
