I submitted following problem to IBM support and todate haven't got a
meaningful response. I'm wondering if anyone on the listserv has some
comments on this?

Am maintaining some archives from an NT client (HSCNT2) obsoleted perhaps
18 months ago (likely a 2.1 0.6 client). To consolidate nodes, would like
to move the archives from HSCNT2 filesystem ROOTD to an existing node
(HSCNT5). HSCNT5 has no archives. Did following:
Exported HSCNT2. Renamed HSCNT2 as HSCNT2_OLD. Renamed HSCNT5 as HSCNT2.
Imported HSCNT2 export created above. Renamed HSCNT2 as HSCNT5. Current
status now is:

Node Name Filespace Platform Filespace Capacity Pct
                          Name Type (MB) Util
------------------------- ----------- -------- --------- -------- -----
HSCNT5 \\hscnt5\c$ WinNT NTFS 1,028.0 82.0
HSCNT5 \\hscnt5\c$ WinNT NTFS 1,028.0 82.0
HSCNT5 \\hscnt5\d$ WinNT NTFS 33,643.9 63.6
HSCNT5 ROOTD WinNT NTFS 14,295.0 72.6
HSCNT2_OLD ROOTD WinNT NTFS 14,295.0 72.6

From my desktop (NT 4.0 WS, 3.1 0.7 client),
 - used client cli to access both HSCNT2_OLD, HSCNT5 and entered:
    q ar " ROOTD \archives\one year archive\*" and successfully saw the 7
files associated with this. (Both work fine) e.g.:
Size Archive Date - Time File - Expires on - Description
     ---- ------------------- -------------------------------
    78,336 08/12/1998 00:01:48 D:\Archives\One Year Archive\
                           FW CTL3DV2 DLL.msg 08/12/1999

 - used gui to access HSCNT2_OLD and expand null archive description and see
ROOTD. Then expand ROOTD and see an indicator of loading (nnnn) where nnnn
counts from 1 to about 8700 over about 40 seconds at
which time the next level of the directory structure is displayed (Archives)
and status word 'loading' changes to 'displaying'. At this point in time
additional subdirectories and files are available for selection. Works as
expected.

 - used gui to access HSCNT5 and expand null archive description and see
ROOTD. Then expand ROOTD and status immediately goes to 'displaying', but
there are no available subdirectories or files. i.e. can't do anything.

Is there a defect here? A process problem? Would appreciate your advice.
Thanks!
