Using the 2.1.9 version of the Lotus Notes connect agent (and presumably
prior editions), we run into the following situation when trying to restore
documents via ADSM:
1) Add x documents to a database
2) Take an incremental backup using the connect agent.
3) Delete the database
4) Restore the database via the BAClient
5) Merge the documents into it using the notes agent to bring it up to
date.
When this is done, all documents are returned to the database. However, the
$UpdatedBy and Modified Date fields are altered. If using the GUI version
of the agent, the $UpdatedBy field changes to the ID name of the person
restoring the database. If using the command line version, it changes to
the Server's name which runs the restore. In either case, the Modified Date
becomes the date and time the restoration took place. This, of course,
makes date-sensitive views useless and alters individual documents in an
unacceptable way.
Is there a way around this? Thanks in advance!
