ADSM-L

Hi, I'm sorry I didn't answer back on this one. We backed it off because
shortly after we put it on, we had a problem where ADSM (on MVS) got into
a deadlock situation with the CA-1 TMS. Being afraid it was the 3.1.2.20
level of maintenance, we backed it off. Since then, we have had the
deadlock situation again, and we are running 3.1.2.14. So it must be a
different problem, and not related to our maintenance level. IBM is
looking at it with us.
I'm not afraid of 3.1.2.20 any longer.
Julie

Julie and/or Kuli,

I missed the response to WHY level 20 of the MVS server was backed
off. I'm getting ready to move to 3.1.2.20 this month - was there some
problem?

When you backed out the v 3.1.2.20 did you also back out the database to a
previous backup?, this might explain why you have volumes assigned to ADSM
by your tape management system that ADSM does not know about.
How much activity was there on the server from when you you upgraded to
when
you backed out?.
What level of MVS are you on?
What was the reason to back out the upgrade?.
Thanks,
Kuli.
