We have similar problems with netware clients
12 netware servers Support Pack 6 , ADSM client V3.1.0.6
    Only 2 of them randomly abend with abend message 
"Free called with a memory block that has a null resource tag"
We have opened a call and are waiting for a response from IBM

DSMC BACKUP ABENDS 4.11 NOVELL SERVERS

Has anyone else encountered this problem?
We have three major production Novell 4.11 Servers.  They all have Novell
Support Pack 6, and DSMC client Version 3, Release 1, Level 1.3.  We have been
using DSMC backup on our Novell servers for a couple of years now, but beginning
this past February, all three servers have been abending.  The average frequency
is about once a month, the abend message is always "Free called with a memory
block that has a null resource tag" and the running process is DSMC.NLM.  The
abend occurs shortly after the scheduled backup begins.

We also have another problem with DSMC that started a month or so ago.  After
typing "quit" to end a DSMC session, the session hangs on the Novell server
console.  This problem began in the same timeframe we implemented IWSP6, so
possibly could be related.  Has anyone had the same experience with either of
these issues?
