We had this problem when we upgraded to OS390 2.5, and after many applied
fixes to ADSM , OS390 and TCPIP we finally got round it. We have now gone to
2.6 and are seeing it again!
Are you also unable to cancel the 'hung' sessions?
We have an open problem with IBM on this. No progress so far. Anyone else
with this problem on 2.6?

        of the backup sessions went into idlew or recvw state and remain

        without notice for hours. Processing effectively stops, but no error
msg.
        Other sessions from same node (example: oracle agent backups with
parallel
        sess) are still working.
