Thanks for the info Trevor.  Now I'm really unhappy.

Our problem is, because our server is on VM, we're still running versio=
n 2.
Version 3 for VM is supposed to be available some time this summer, but=
 who
knows.  Needless to say I'm not happy about having to do the audit, but=
  IBM
isn't offering any other suggestions, and we can't wait until June or J=
uly
(maybe) for an upgrade.  Hopefully, on version 2 the audit will fix the=

problem.

We got a response from IBM support yesterday about this, and the respon=
se was
different to yours. We've been told:

1. It is a know problem
2. It will be fixed in 3.1.2.30 (which, given that 3.1.2.20 is only abo=
ut 3
weeks old, I wouldn't expect until July)
3. an AUDIT DB FIX=3DYES will NOT fix the problem

Unfortunately I don't have the number for the APAR that describes this
problem (our guy who has been dealing with IBM isn't around at the mome=
nt).
I'll post it when I have it.
