What version of Netview are you running?  If you are running NV5.1 on AIX
there is a script called MIB2TRAP to convert a MIB file to a trap
registration script.  Once the script is created, you simply have to execute
it to register the traps with Netview.  In this case you would need a MIB
file for the 3494.  By the way, you could do this for the ADSM MIB file
also.  Hope this helps.

OK, I have SNMP working on my 3494.  It is sending events to our Netview
monitor.  The problem now is that we don't have any filters set up in
Netview.
Our etview administrator has asked me a couple of questions I was hoping
someone
could help me with:
1)  Is there an Add Trap script available for the 3494 that will
autmatically
set up all possible SNMP events?
2)  Does anybody know the "Enterprise name" for a 3494?
3)  Does anybody know the "Enterprise ID" for a 3494?

Can anyone help me?
