Thanks for the info Trevor.  Now I'm really unhappy.

Our problem is, because our server is on VM, we're still running version 2.
Version 3 for VM is supposed to be available some time this summer, but who
knows.  Needless to say I'm not happy about having to do the audit, but  IBM
isn't offering any other suggestions, and we can't wait until June or July
(maybe) for an upgrade.  Hopefully, on version 2 the audit will fix the
problem.

Hi Betsy,

We got a response from IBM support yesterday about this, and the response was
different to yours. We've been told:

1. It is a know problem
2. It will be fixed in 3.1.2.30 (which, given that 3.1.2.20 is only about 3
weeks old, I wouldn't expect until July)
3. an AUDIT DB FIX=YES will NOT fix the problem

Unfortunately I don't have the number for the APAR that describes this
problem (our guy who has been dealing with IBM isn't around at the moment).
I'll post it when I have it.
