See "Backin up Storage Pools" in the ADSM Administrator Guide.
The process involves defining a copy storage pool using your 8mm
tapes, and running daily incremental backups of your primary storage
pools to your copy storage pool.

See "Backin up Storage Pools" in the ADSM Administrator Guide.
The process involves defining a copy storage pool using your 8mm
tapes, and running daily incremental backups of your primary storage
pools to your copy storage pool. The copypool tapes can be stored
offsite.

You can rebuild a damaged primary tape from your offsite tapes.

You are not backing up the tape, you are creating copies of the files
that are on the tape. Reclaiming the primary tape does not affect the
copies
in the copy pool.
