I'm surprised there marked as read only and not unavailable.  Perhaps they
were move media'd to this state.  If this is the case, perhaps it is what
you wanted to do, but perhaps consider using another state like off-site
rather than readonly.

Tapes can get into readonly if there is an error while writing to them
perhaps because a drive was dirty.  Doesn't sound like this is your problem
though.

When you want to use these tapes, you'll need to check them in and update
their access to readwrite.  I'd probably do that with the tapes that aren't
full.
