Hi Dirk. The "Maximum scratch volumes" for the tape stgpool is set at
"200".
While the backup was still running, I did a "q libv" to see if there
were any
scratch tapes available.  The command confirmed the library had enough
scratch tapes.

   What's the maxscratch value of your tape stgpool? Maybe no more
   scratch volumes are allowed?
