We are running ACSLS 5.1 and 5.2 with STK 9710's, ADSM for AIX V2 and V3.

We had cleaning problems with ACSLS when we installed the DLT 7000's.
ACSLS was originally set up to allow a 5 minute wait before a timeout.
This works OK with other types of drives, but a DLT 7000 can take more than
5 minutes to clean.

There is a fix we had to apply to ACSLS to allow the drives to clean without
timing out.
We are running ADSM on AIX, but the STK web site also lists the fix for
ACSLS with Sun.
Since we installed it, we have not had any problems with timeouts during
cleaning.

If you have access to the STK web site, look at fix 550245.
If not, your STK rep should get it for you.
