Doug,
It will go to a status of EMPTY at the exact hour, minute and second that it became PENDING once the REUSEDELAY period is met.

Do a 'q vol acc=off stat=pend' and you'll see when it became pending. Add your REUSEDELAY to that and then you'll know when it will go EMPTY.

Shaun

This is probably one of those things that happens on some interval, perhaps
24 hours.  It may also have to do with when the server is started.  So it
might behoove you to restart your server an hour before the time you
require your tapes to move from pending to empty.  Expiration works that
way, for instance.

What is the process that changes a volume from pending to empty? Is there
some
way I can "force" it to happen at a certain time (script/schedule)?
I have volumes that are going from pending to empty on the right day (based
on
REUSEDELAY) but not until about 45 minutes too late. This means that I have
to
wait another day for them to be marked as scratch and returned from offsite
storage. It is not really a "problem" per se but it is a nuisance.
