For our NT clients, we retain two versions of each file, one
active and one inactive. We keep the inactive versions for 30 days
before expiry. I am doing a restore for a client who wants a version
from Thursday March 18. There were changes made to the file on Friday
March 19th which removed important information. When I look through the
backup version, however, there is only the active version, with a last
modified date of March 19th, and a created date of December 7th. How is
that possible? ADSM recognizes that the file was modified on Friday and
backed it up, but did not save the inactive version. It could not have
expired if it had just been marked inactive a few days ago. I can see
inactive versions of other files within the same folder. I am running
NT client 3.1.5 with MVS server 3.1.2. Any suggestions as to an
explanation would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
