We have about 30 NT-adsm- clients 3.1.0.3
mostly they work fine.
One had problem during scheduled backup at night...
I then backed up per gui and saw:
"Assertion failed" program dsm.exe file dsmem.c Line 1456
Expression.....

I did a call to IBM 
First hint is to make a trace - it become 1,2GB ... (stopped after ca. 80k 
files)

at the end of the file is this:
