Hi,

I am implementing an ADSM solution using ADSM V3.1.2.1 server on AIX.

One of the main clients runs Oracle on NCR Unix using raw volumes for datafiles.
Since there is no Oracle agent available on NCR, we are patching their homemade
script using dd and adsmpipe to send the raw volumes to ADSM.

One of my main concerns is verifying and reporting what the ADSM server has got,
specially
how many bytes were stored on the server for each object.

If I use dsmc or API calls to query the server I get only the size estimate that
was used when adsmpipe
was invoked, it has no relation to the actual size of the stored object.

The only command I have found that gives me the actual size (at least of the
aggregated objects) is
QUERY CONTENTS or SELECT xx FROM CONTENTS but then I have no way of knowing
which backup version I am looking at.

I get all the version information from SELECT xx FROM BACKUPS but then I have no
size information.

Is there any way to get this information ? Undocumented ?

Regards,
