I've had a few of people send me mail asking for my scripts, so I thought
I'd post them here since they are not that large. I would also suggest that
if anyone is looking for this type of capability, there are a couple of
companies out there that are selling products to monitor and manager ADSM
servers and clients. These include Sterling Software, Boole and Babbage,
and Mainstar.

Some background:

These scripts are solely for monitoring scheduled events - I have others
that monitor the ADSM server itself and to control the flow of events
(backup stg, db backup, ejecting tapes,...). All mailing is done through
UNIX aliases. Paging is done by issuing an rexec to the server responsible
for sending pages and tracking problem tickets. Paging information is kept
in a local database. I believe that the code is documented enough to be
self explanitory.

Unfortunately, we're behind a firewall so I can't make these scripts
generally available.
