just a update, I figured out what the problem was.
Seems I edited the DSM.OPT file and had two erroneous entries in there.
The way I found out was running the ADSM Backup Client. When I did it popped
up a error message with the incorrect line from the DSM.OPT file.
After I fixed it everything works once again!
