Adam,

nope it's not Nokia, is STMicroelectronics, and its size is (only for
Agrate, which is a production site with 4200 people):

        - 3 servers
        - 3000 users
        - 2m files

I guess too little compared to your environment!

Anyway I do use ADSM as unique solution and it works very well from the
backup point of view, although I think I'm going to lose in restore time
if compared to OB-II, which I've been using in the past. I have
collocation enabled at node level, but now I'm operating a 3575 with 320
cassettes and a bunch of other machines to backup, I think that
collocation at file level will improve enormously the restore time, soon
I'll move to a 3494! In order to reduce the spreading of the files on
lots of cassettes, I routinely do some "selective" backups and I hold
only 7 days of history for OMstore.

Finally be aware that reclamation can be a nightmare ... because ADSM
tends to aggregate lots of files (up to 120), in order to reduce DB use.

I hope this help. If you have further requests feel free to come back at
any time.

Ciao

Mauro
