FTP and loading AIX client code

What the the steps to move my 'downloaded' AIX client code to the AIX box so I
can upgrade my client?
I have AIX v4.2 and v4.3 clients and Im running ADSM v3.1 on AIX  4.3.
Ive update such clients using tape and cd media...

The AIX upgrade code can be large a times compared to NT or Netware.
