I've had the same problems and came to the same conclusion on my Solaris client
talking to an non-EM AIX server. I initially thought it was
just something stupid that I'd done. Like you I'm wondering what the
differences between non-EM and EM versions of the server are, (apart
from price?)

IMHO with non-EM servers and PasswordAccess=Generate, unless you know the node
password and change it manually the
WebShell/WebCLI *is* a complete waste of time/disk-space, I personally think
this a shame since it's quite useful to be able to go to a
users desk and restore files they need in front of them, rather than either
looking for an X-windows terminal or using the CLI. I know that the
answer is to use the EM version of the server, but I don't think that's going
to be possible at the moment ....

By the way, has anyone tried using the PTF6 WebCLI with the HotJava v1.1.5
browser. I did and I got a few redraw problems, so I went back
to Netscape. :-)
