Alright, I've fought this long enough!

I've installed this client on a number of systems.  I'm able to browse to
the client and get the initial page, but then when I click on BACKUP (or
any of the other buttons), I get the following message:

ANS2609S TCP IP comm failure between the browser and the client machine.

Any ideas?  I'm on a local network, I've got proxies enabled in the browser
since I use them elsewhere, but I've told IE4 to ignore the proxy server
for this IP address.

I've seen the problem intermittently on another system I've tried.
