Eric - If at all possible, I would avoid loaddb and auditdb (which are salvage
       utilities), instead using BACKUP DB and DSMSERV RESTORE DB, which
should take less time and involve fewer irregularities.

reasons for usage and effects (search archives for "b-tree").
