Hi,

I installed ADSM  v3.1.2.0 for Sun Solaris 2.6 with an Exabyte 820 on an

Adaptec 2940 Open firmware. I installed the "rmt" device with "add_drv"
command.

I can label volumes succesfully using dsmlabel command, but I can't do
backup jobs, I have the following error:
"ANR8353E 001: I/O error reading label of volume in drive 8MM
(/dev/rmt/3mt)."

I can read or write on this tape drive using "tar" or "dd" solaris
commands succesfully. I checked the tape drive, I replace it with other
Exabyte 8505st and I have the same errors.

Can anyone help me?
