David,

An offline backup consisits the archived redo logs unless you choose not
to backup them (using the 'archivelog=none' in the EBU script). EBU
backs up the archived redo logs during both online and offline backups.
EBU identifies the archive redo logs by quering the target DB  for the
current LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST location specified in initSID.ora.

Did you use the recover option with the EBU script ? the recover perform
a recover of the DB after the DB restore.
