Kelly must think this is too quiet or there is not enough flamage.

Believe it or not from today:

Take an automated tape library with tapes.

Mount a tape in one of the drives.

Check the tape out of the library using "CHECKOUT LIBVOLUME foo bar
REMOVE=BULK"

What does ADSM do?  it says "tape checked out of library" instantly.

What does ADSM not do?  umount the tape or move it to the load port.

When the mount retention expires (or you manually dismount it), it
DOES unmount the tape and move it into a free slot in the library.


Nett effect: ADSM thinks the tape is NOT in the library.  Tape library
thinks tape is in library.  AUDIT LIBRARY does not resolve this.
