It is unfortunate that ADSM does not provide this capability.  But it would
not be terribly difficult to implement it in the form of a Perl-based daemon
which would run the dsmadmc command to perform lookups from authorized
ordinary users.  The client communication method could be something as simple
as mail, even, or more conventionally via TCP/IP methods.
