Sri,

There are many factors that can affect performance (Exchange server,
network and ADSM server hardware configurations, network load, etc).
We do have customers reporting throughput much higher than what you report
(some as high as 8.4 MB/sec) so there is evidence that the agent can
perform well given appropriate hardware resource and configuration.
Currently, the only way that you can multistream is by issuing separate
commands, one for the backup of the Directory and one for the backup
of the Information Store.  Since the Directory is typically small in
relation
to the Info Store, I really don't see very much benefit here.

My suggestion is to use Permorance Monitor to find out where the
bottleneck is coming from since you should be able to get much
better than 600KB/sec if you have a fast enough network.
