The folks who have written in about this need to do analysis to narrow
down the problem. You haven't supplied salient facts to help in that
regard, such as what networking you're using, ADSM restoral options,
file system topology, client speed, loading, etc. You can pursue such
things via analgous testing. For example: restore the same files to
an empty file system and discern any difference (hence a problem with
your file system); simply copy files into the problem file system and
see if the number of files in a directory is a hampering factor in this;
copy files from the server outside of ADSM and check timings.
This will help everyone understand the factors, and will reduce variables
should you have to pursue the matter with IBM.
