There is excellent documentation, and whitepapers, which fully explain
these file systems at http://www.transarc.com (look especially under
Library).
Basically, AFS is a "worldwide" file system, and DFS is like the
"next generation" of it, being part of the OSF Distributed Computing
Environment (DCE). DFS is the Next Great Thing, so it is worth
