Could someone from IBM please expand the acronyms AFS and DFS?

When I initially decided to consider the upgrade to version 3, one of the
questions was should I need to purchase the feature code for AFS / DFS
support.   After a very long search through IBM's support network, I was
contacted by an individual from ADSM support that explained what the
feature code was meant for - not what they stood for.

Since that time, I have seen the acronyms used in a number of different
ways.  I just want to know what they stand for from an IBM software support
consideration.
