Hey gang, Kelly Lipp here from a strange place!

This is a wierd one.

Using any browser, including the one on the server itself, we're seeing
intermittent errors with commands being sent to ADSM. It seems some of
the characters are being garbled. For instance:

10/20/98   11:46:24      ANR0405I Session 717 ended for administrator
ADMIN
   20/98 11:44:29 ANR1605E DEFINE COPYGROUP: Archive copy group
STANDARD
                          (WebBrowser).
                          already defined in policy domain NT_DOMAIN,
set
10/20/98   11:46:38      ANR2017I Administrator ADMIN issued command:
DEFINE
                          NT_STANDARD, management class NT_DEFAULT.
                          COPYGROUP NT_DOMAIN NT_STANDARD TEST
DESTINATION=DISKP
OOL20/98   11:45:08      ANR2017I Administrator ADMIN issued command:
DEFINE
                          FREQUENCY=0 VEREXISTS=2 VERDELETED=1
RETEXTRA=30
                          MGMTCLASS NT_DOMAIN NT_STANDARD test
                          RETONLY=60 MODE=MODIFIED
SERIALIZATION=SHRSTATIC
                          SPACEMGTECHNIQUE=NONE AUTOMIGNONUSE=0
MIGREQUIRESBKUP=
10/20/98   11:46:38      ANR2020E DEFINE COPYGROUP: Invalid parameter -
VERDE%ET
ED.

Notice that the command received in the activity log looks ok, but the
error indicates an error with verdeleted.

This is happening itermittently, and randomly. For instance, attempting
the same exact define again may result in an error with the word
serialization being garbled.

We've logged a call with Level 1.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Kelly Lipp masquerading at Robin Cohen!
