Thanks for this information, especially about the new tools to diagnose
problems in this area.

I've never seen a situation where a native drive has worked, however.  I
encourage people to make sure they don't have anything else to do before
trying it.

On this specific case, I have seen the Compaq version of the robot actually
work with ADSMSCSI.
