Oh, no don't do it this way.  cc:Mail has a utility that will write out a clean
consistent file while the database is open. The utility is invoked from a
Windows 95 machine so scheduling is a bit of a chore . . . Then backup the
extract file.  I don't have a copy of our procedure at hand, sorry.  erl

ADSM Family,

On occasion, ADSM (v 3.1.1.5) is having problems backing up critical CC:MAIL
Post Office files (specifically the MLANDATA file).  The failure is not on the
same PO all the time either.  Below is some basic server/client specs:

Server:     AIX-RS/6000 with v3.1 AIX
Clients: Netware 4.11
CC:MAIL DB6 and DB8 Post Offices

FYI:  The Management Class is Dynamic.

Here is a copy of the last DSMSCHED.LOG.
