     As part of the upgrade from Version 2 to Version 3 of ADSM, the
AIX upgrade Quick Start Book references the need for the following
in the "Before You Install" checklist:

Ensure that you have AIX 4.1.4 or later with Motif 1.2 and Interactive
     Productivity Facility Executive (IPFX) installed on your machine.

     What is the Interactive Productivity Facility Executive (IPFX) and
how do I determine if it is installed or not?  Is it necessary for the
completion
of the upgrade task?
