I used the DSMCUTIL facility to install a 2nd scheduler for the 2nd node
under Notes. The primary one (or really the scheduler used with the BA
client) is used for OS-related directories and files, and excludes any
Notes databases, mail files, etc. (this is accomplished through the DSM.OPT
file under BACLIENT); the second scheduler is used for the 2nd node, and
encompasses any Notes-related files, etc., EXCLUDED from the BA client
backups.

To install the 2nd node and scheduler, perform the following from the ADSM
directory containing the DSMCUTIL.exe file:

at the prompt, type: dsmcutil inst /name:"new_scheduler_name"
/node:newnotesnode /optfile:c:\adsm\agentln\dsm.opt /password:secretpw
<enter>

Keep typing, and let the lines wrap if necessary. Once you've hit <enter>,
the new node name and password are authenticated with the ADSM server --- a
message telling you this has occurred will pop up after the server has been
contacted. If there has been an error, this is where the message will be
shown as well.

This installs a 2nd scheduler service on your NT machine, and identifies a
2nd node to the ADSM server. Remember you have to add the new node name and
password on the ADSM server prior to performing these functions. Once the
service has been added, you can tailor your requirements for automation as
needed.

Hope this helps.

I also am just installing Agent for Notes and would like the anwser to
Mohamed's question.

We have just installed Agent for Notes on an NT server. We also have the
ordinary backup going on the server. The manual says that if we will have
two schedules on the same server (one for the notes agent and the other for
usual backup) then the node names and tcpclient port numbers must be
different.

Could anyone who has set up Notes Agent tell me how I could setup a
different tcpclient port for the Notes agent?

Thanks in advance.
