Hello Eliza,

This is a known defect in the package. The circumvention for now is to issue
this command before doing the install:

   mkdir -p /etc/adsm/SpaceMan/config/

I don't know if I will be successful, but I am looking into getting the package
on the ADSM FTP site fixed.

Best regards,

Andy

Hi All,

A user tried to install the Solaris 2.6 PTF 5 client and got the following
error message:

>mkdir: Failed to make directory "/etc/adsm/SpaceMan"; No such file or directory
>/var/sadm/pkg/IBMadsm-c/install/postinstall: /etc/adsm/SpaceMan: does not exist
>pkgadd: ERROR: postinstall script did not complete successfully

>Installation of <IBMadsm-c> failed.

>I chose only item #2 on ptf 5 which is the backup/restore client only.
>I did not install the hsm client.

>Thanks for your help

Has anyone seen this before? Thanks
