Alex,
yes, it works! If your ADSM server is licensed for DRM you may download a
bunch of diskette images called DRM Standalone Disk Image Dump and Restore
from the ADSM webpage. With those diskettes you are able to do an
OS-independent save (or dump) of your bootdisk and later restore it. Those
diskettes start up a down-stripped OS/2 with some device drivers, TCP/IP
and an a sort of ADSM "client" that is able to dump your physical hard
drive(s).
I Recommend downloading the manual called DRM Standalone Disk Image Dump
and Restore Guide to check out whether the funcionylitiy is OK for you.
Mit freundlichem Gruss/Best Regards
Michael Abel

Subject: Hi All
I have heard that there is a way to recover a 32 bit Intel machine by
only using a few disks that interface into an ADSM server and then
restore the machine. Does anyone have further info on this??
Alex
